Happy 8th Birthday to Daniel Jackson (December 18)
& Happy 44th Birthday to Timothy Roy (December 19)

Daniel went to bed (17) and asked me this question "Mom if I wake up at 1:30 will it be my birthday?" Of course I said yes!

Dan's Birthday was fun...We had a snow day!!! Dan was a little sad he did not get to go to school but got over it fast when he got to play all day with his friends in the snow...We went to dinner at Fiesta Mexicana, then came home and opened gifts. Dan got his Scriptures, Cub Scout Stuff, Air Hockey Table, Laser Tag, Lincoln Logs, and a few other toys. (not all were from mom and dad a few were from friends and family) I asked Dan what he like most out of all his presents he said "Mom I loved them all but I like my Scriptures and Cub Scout shirt the BEST!"

Tim had to work on his birthday. Tim got to wake up to his kids climbing on him saying Happy Birthday Dad!!! He then got to open his presents. Tim got a Josh Groban CD, Mama Mia movie, a book, a painting, and a 7 week old puppy! I made him a Carrot Cake from scratch! He got home kinda late...

Anyway...I'm glad we got the Birthdays over with...Now its time for Christmas!!!

My Dumb Car!

Ok maybe my car is not dumb but I sure do have Dumb Luck with it. I am again without a car...Why, well let me tell you my fun story! When I went down for Thanksgiving weekend my car broke down and had to be towed to the dealership. I took my mother-in-laws car home for the week. I came down the next weekend (December 3/4) and picked up my car. All was fine I had no problems. Well, then on late wed. afternoon I started smelling gas and thought what now. I called the dealership and they said maybe it was my gas cap. (ya right) So I made an appt. to bring my car in on Sat. morning. 30 min. after I droped off my car I got a call saying I had a gas leak and how luck I was that it did not Blow Up on me...Yes I am still living and I have no car!! I am so very grateful to be alive and I am grateful for my car I only wish I could keep it running without problems!!!

I want to wish everyone a very Save and Wonderful Christmas...
Remember the reason for the Season!

Great Weekend!!!

I had such a great weekend with my ALL MY BEST FRIENDS!!! We all went to Stacey's house for dinner and pictures. Some pictures we took need to stay in the camera (lol you know what I'm talking about Stacey!) Who knew taking pictures would be so much fun...I think we took about 100 of them (Becky I need to get copies from you). Then we all were able to sit around a catch up (until I went down stairs and fell asleep) every party needs a poo per and so that would be me. We all got to see Amy which was so great we have not seen her for such a long time. We had Rhonda visit from HI, Dori from UT, Angel, Kristi and my great friend from Show Low Missy from come from the White Mountains. In total there were 9 women having the time of our lives. I will post pictures after I get them from Becky...(She is always so great at taking pictures and giving them to her friend's who don't bring a camera). The seven of us have been friends for 12 + years. Angel, Dori, Becky, Jen, Stacey, Rhonda & Kristi I miss them all and was so grateful to be able to spend some great time with them...I am also so grateful for my BFF Missy here is Show Low, I don't know how I would survive up here with out her. Thank you to all my great friends for all your love and support for over the years! I love you all so very much!!!

Twilight

I loved the movie...It was soo good!!! We sat in a movie theater filled with Twilight Fans. When Edward came on screen everyone yelled (some louder than others lol. When Edward and Bella Kissed for the first time we all made the ohoooo sound (again some louder than others!) and when something made us laugh everyone laughed (you get the picture some louder than others!) Now the book was GREAT we all know that...The movie was a very condensed version of the book so it was not as GREAT as the book but still they did a great job!!! I also heard that since Twilight did so good they were going to go ahead with New Moon...So next year this now 37, then to be 38 year old woman will be right there watching making all those noises with everyone else (me being lounder than others!!!)

Here is a few pictures of the group I went with...Needless to say we all had a GREAT time!

In this picture you have
Frankie, Susan,
Sage, Missy & Angel!

This was us standing in line before we got our seats!

Another picture of us in line...Dawn surprised us and showed up...

Belated Birthday

It was Susan's 15 Birthday on Sunday, November 9th...We also had our first SNOW...Because I'm so late in posting this I'm gonna give a little recap of our day...Susan woke up to her mother coming into her room and giving her a kiss and wishing her a Happy Birthday! Dad got up and made breakfast and then we all got ready for church. It was very cold that morning, we had lots of wind and some good clouds... At church Susan's friend gave her a cute card. After sacrament we went home cuz Dad stayed home (he was a little under the weather). Mom fixed Susan's favorite dinner (Green Chilie Burros, Potato's & a Green Salad). She then got to open her gifts...

1. A Gift Certificate & card from her grandparents
2. A big box of goodies from her Brothers (random things)
3. A Yellow I-Pod from mom & Dad
So we had fun opening gifts then we did a cheese cake and mom also made a peach cobbler. We ate both desserts...then we all watched a movie. A little while after the movie Nicholas went into the Sun room (around 8 at night) and yelled "Hey it's Snowing outside." Of course everyone came running to see. Susan said "And it's on my Birthday!" So it was a quiet day but we all enjoyed being with each other.

On Saturday mom took Susan, her brothers and her friend Sage to see High School Musical 3 and then we had Pizza and played at the Arcade. I can say that Susan had a great birthday (Cuz she told me). So I so should have posted this last weekend but, Better late than never!!!

Recipe Friday!

Dori & I got to talking about posting a new recipe every Friday on our blogs to share with everyone who reads them! If you want to join in that would be so FREAKING FUN! So here is my Recipe my kids love this it's fast easy (I do cheat a little) and I made it up my self...

My version of Chicken Alfredo
2 cans of Chicken (you can cook your chicken if you want)
1 box of Pasta (I use bow tie or cork screw)
2 jars of the Alfredo Sauce
( you can also add Broccoli, mushrooms or be creative)

Boil pasta, fry the chicken in separate pan (I add seasons like garlic and pepper). Drain Pasta, add chicken then sauce & any extras you might have to the pasta. Mix well then serve and enjoy...

Sad News

Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours. Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he still was a crusty Old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions. Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, three children: John Dough, Jane Dough and Dosey Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

My new name is Bobby Joe!!!!

My trip down to the valley on Wednesday night was very eventfull! Driving past Miami my back passenger window was shot out by a person who thought it would be fun to shoot a BB gun at passing cars. I pulled over to get Daniel out of the glass that shatterd on him and called 911. A few min after the police got to me another car pulled in and said he too was shot at and his front passenger widonw was shattered. They never found the guy! All I can say is I'm glad my kids were not hurt and thank goodness for Duct Tape!

On my way home from the valley late Monday night I was about 45 miles from Payson and my Slide Board under my car broke. Sparks were a fly'n...I used the tape I had to try and fix it but it broke off again aprox 15 miles from Payson. I drove 5 miles per hour in the emergency lane until I got to Circle K in Payson and got some heavy duty Duct Tape. I drove no more than 45 miles per hr. all the way home that night. I left the valley for home at 9:30 that night and got home at 2:00 the next morning. That was the longest drive ever!!! I am very grateful that I made it home with my kids and my car safe...

Again thank goodness for DUCT TAPE!!!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween to everyone! I was just sitting here wondering what am I going to do for costumes for my children. I did a google search and found this web site. They have so many fun ideas that you can make at home (like any of us has the time). I think it would be fun to sit down with my children and pick out a costume and then have them help me get the items to make their costume instead of me spenidng money (I dont have) on a costume that will be in my way the other 364 days of the year. Have Fun!!!
